This research cruise is conducted at the South East Asia Time-series Station (SEATS) (18\u00b0<\/sup>N; 116\u00b0<\/sup>E), located in the deep-water basin of the northern South China Sea, where four cruise surveys are carried out annually. Six early-career researchers participated this cruise, representing Academia Sinica (2)<\/a>, National Taiwan University (2), and National Taiwan Ocean University (2).<\/p>\n\n
