This research cruise is conducted at the South East Asia Time-series Station (SEATS) (18°N; 116°E), located in the deep-water basin of the northern South China Sea, where four cruise surveys are carried out annually. Six early-career researchers participated this cruise, representing Academia Sinica (2), National Taiwan University (2), and National Taiwan Ocean University (2).
