National Central University’s Dean of R&D, Distinguished Professor Meng-Fan Luo, recently led a delegation to the Research Center for Critical Issues (RCCI). Professor Shiah and his team welcomed the visitors with a tour of the Tai-MOS core facilities and laboratories.
During his term as Director General of the Department of Natural Sciences and Sustainable Development at the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) (August 2022 – July 2024), Dean Luo was a steadfast supporter of the Tai-MOS core facility project.
He expressed high praise for the project’s rapid progress, noting how impressive it was to finalize research staffing in less than a year. This efficiency allowed both the core laboratory and the South China Sea cruises to commence operations ahead of schedule. Dean Luo concluded by encouraging the project staff to maintain their momentum and continue their dedicated service to the broader oceanography community.
